UMM Chili Cook Off
Capital Campaign Update - The success of our recent capital campaign has allowed the Stewardship and Trustees teams to approve the project to replace all our current HVAC units with one system requiring less maintenance and resources. The project has already begun and is expected to be completed before significantly warm weather.
Funding:
Cash received for the Project as of 2/19/25 $158,868
Additional 2025 and 2026 Capital Pledges $139,464
Total Cash and Pledges Available $298,332
Cost of HVAC System and Installation - $260,619
With successful collection of pledges, the church will have enough to support the HVAC project and will be able to reserve some funds for other maintenance needs.
Since the full cost of the project will be due for payment in the next few months, we have sought out and received a generous loan from the United Methodist Foundation that is short term and below prime for up to $120,000 against our pledges. Also, there is no mortgage required for this loan. We will use as much of the loan as needed (as a line of credit) to complete payment for the HVAC project. As our congregation honors its pledges over this year and next year, we expect to completely repay the loan before the end of 2026 and direct additional capital giving to the improvement of our church.
